A letter from last year

I woke up this morning and found a letter in my inbox. It was from me, one year ago today. Having bought my one way ticket last week to Toronto/Canada, gotten through my first real heart break this year and seeing as I'm in London right now working at an awesome office in covent Garden.. Yeah I wish I could write back saying, "you've come a long way".

____

Dear future me,

I have no idea where you're supposed to be right now. Did you stay in London? Did you actually apply for university? Do you have a full time job still? Are you scared? None of the above?

It's pretty scary on this end... not knowing if I made the right decision by moving to the other side of the world on my own. Or what's ahead.

I hope your heart is strong. I know you wear your heart on your sleeve and you trust way way to many people. I hope that you're still writing and most importantly that you're still taking photos. You have so much to learn, remember where ever you are right now that you are still so young and things will be fine. Stop doing what people tell you that you should be doing do what YOU want to do and Not what you think you're supposed to be good at.

In the last few months of living in London you have accomplished a lot. You have a full time job at a financial firm and you have already made some amazing friends. You go out for coffee with simone on Brick Lane and you are happy today trust me. You will be fine Georgia. You are achieving so much and you probably don't even realize it. From what I can tell, that's what it's about. Being proud of the small accomplishments, one day at a time, up until they make up something even greater.

Love,

Georgia

This is the first day of my life

My first post! How exciting!

I guess I should start with the basic facts of me. I have lived in London for the last year and a half since buying a one way ticket from Sydney/Australia. My life whilst being here has been a rollercoaster, I have traveled Europe, fallen in love, been crushed, come back out of it 'ok', landed an amazing job, had countless incredible moments, met the most interesting people and simply put I have made a home in this beautiful city.
London what a city?! I took the photo above 6 months ago when I was with my ex boyfriend. I remember thinking how lucky I was to be able to have a frame of mind where I can change what I want, I can get on a plane tomorrow and move cities if I want to. Anyway I walk across this bridge mostly people watching every day to get to work and home. People say a lot about different cities, especially London.. One thing is for sure, this place makes the people. It changes people and it has changed me in countless ways..
